About the Founder and Mentor:
Eric Michael Roberts, MPT, has a BA in Music Education and is a graduate from the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology. Eric is the lead technician for the Nashville, TN Apex team. Eric is a fanatical educator, author, and trainer in the piano technology field with over a million views on the APTN YouTube training videos. Eric has been a full time independent piano technician for over 18 years, tuned thousands of pianos and worked for the world-class artists including Harry Connick Jr., John Legend, Kip Moore, Orville Peck, Idina Menzel (Disney’s Frozen), June Carter Cash, Michael Web (Hank Williams Jr.), James Stafford (Train), Tim Rosenau (Toby Mac), Rob Frazier (Petra), Alex Goot, Mark Lowry, Tony Bennett, Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose, and David Gand (Garth Brooks). Eric lives in Nashville, TN and leads the Apex technician team and mentorship piano technicians all over the world through APTN.

Joe Bovy, RPT, is the passionate force behind Bovy Piano Tuning and Service, nestled in the heart of North Idaho. His deep love for music, coupled with a profound understanding of the intricate world within each piano, fuels his work. With every tuning and repair session, Joe brings a wealth of experience and expertise, ensuring each instrument sings its best.
Joe’s commitment to excellence led him to become a proud member of the Piano Technicians Guild, where he further honed his craft. He successfully navigated a series of rigorous exams, earning him the distinguished title of Registered Piano Technician (RPT) – a testament to his dedication and skill.
Joe’s journey in piano technology is also deeply connected to the Apex community. As an alumnus of the Apex Piano Mentorship program, he experienced firsthand the transformative power of their training. Now, he gives back to that community, serving as a dedicated teacher and mentor, sharing his knowledge and passion with the next generation of piano technicians.
